Alexis was born in Long Beach, California and was raised in Massachusetts. The oldest of four children she grew up as a ballet dancer and a painter. She graduated from the University of the Arts in may 2008. Some recognitions include a nomination for the Ted Carey Prize, William H. Ely 2008 Award, and William H. Kennedy award for excellence in the representation of the human figure. Her influences include Caravaggio, Rembrandt, Bouguereau, the Wyeths , Klimt, and Sam Weber.
